Svensk FöretagsFörmedling has advised business owners on business acquisitions and divestments in Sweden since 1979, originally as a specialised division within Svensk Fastighetsförmedling. Today, we complete nearly 100 transactions each year and operate throughout Sweden, with a strong local and regional presence.

The history of Svensk FöretagsFörmedling

  • 1979

    Svensk FöretagsFörmedling was founded as a division of Svensk Fastighetsförmedling, with its head office located in Linköping.

  • 1983

    Svensk FöretagsFörmedling became a limited company. A total of 161 transactions had been completed.

  • 1989

    The magazine Företagsbörsen was launched, a periodical publication distributed four times a year. A total of 1,039 transactions had been completed.

  • 1990

    The industry association SFR, Sveriges Företagsmäklares Riksförbund, was founded. A total of 1,120 transactions had been completed.

  • 1998

    A new logo and a completely new visual identity were developed, resulting in a more refined and modern profile. A total of 2,016 transactions had been completed.

  • 2002

    The company launched the concept of an illustrated bridge to symbolise its role between buyer and seller. A total of 2,166 transactions had been completed.

  • 2013

    Svensk FöretagsFörmedling initiated Nordic cooperation with companies in neighbouring Norway and Denmark. A total of 3,878 transactions had been completed.

  • 2015

    Svensk FöretagsFörmedling set a Swedish record for the number of business acquisitions and divestments completed since its founding in 1979. A total of 4,000 corporate transactions had been completed.

  • 2019

    We celebrated 40 years as Sweden’s leading advisors in business sales and acquisitions. The head office moved from Linköping to Växjö. Several new advisors joined the company and new offices opened creating nationwide coverage. A total of 4,298 transactions had been completed.

  • 2022

    A milestone in the history of Svensk FöretagsFörmedling: more than 4,500 company and real estate transactions had been completed. We also opened offices in Ängelholm and Kristianstad.
